Day 10 - How To Not Eat Party Food All December

Christmas dinner is definitely the pinnacle of dinners. There’s nothing that comes even remotely close, except maybe by husband’s homemade lasagne.

All year I look forward to having a couple of weeks at home, where I can stay in my pyjamas and comfy clothes, eat junk and not worry about having to be anywhere. Then of course 2020 hit.

I always try to batch cook when it’s cold in December, so I have warm meals at the ready and don’t find myself in the party food section in Lidl prematurely.

I don’t generally work to recipes, so to make things easier I’ve linked recipes for some of my go-tos:

Best served with a chunk of buttered crust bread, to die for.

(we don’t use mushrooms or cream for ours, and it's genuinely banging)

Lasts for days and can be served with potatoes, pasta or rice.

What are your favourite slow cooker meals? How do you make sure that you're eating proper meals instead of getting stuck into junk all month?
